BECOME A
MENTOR

a life-changing opportunity.
built around your schedule.

MENTOR.

take the climb.

a life-changing opportunity.
built around your schedule

HOW OUR MENTORS ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE

attending some of their boy's ball games
building things together

inviting the boy to join the family for dinner

run a race together (We had one mentor join a boy in training for a marathon. They ran the marathon together.)

Invite the boy to tag along with you to work or to run errands

Go fishing or hunting (some activities will require higher levels of permission)

attend a sporting event together

teach the young man how to grill

Just hang out

WHAT IS IT?
This is our mentorship program. We have seen firsthand how pivotal it is that our young men are partnered with seasoned men to build relationships with them and who will invest intentionally into their lives. It's our dream for every boy who comes to Eagle Rock to have a mentor assigned to them.

WHO IS AN IDEAL MENTOR?
It could be you! Do you have a heart to invest in young men by building relationships through woodworking projects, hiking the trails, playing ball, fishing, sitting down for a meal, a ballgame?  Do you have the time in your schedule to commit to 1-2 hours/week? Do you have a passion for God to use your life to make a generational difference? Are you a good listener and able to lead a healthy conversation with a young man? If you check 'yes' on all of these, you might just be a perfect fit!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Our mentors work alongside our team to plan activities a young man will enjoy. They meet either weekly or, at minimal, every other week with a young man they are assigned to. Most mentors meet for 90 minutes-2 hours. We've found the time is so enjoyable and rewarding they often last over 2 hours. We will work with you to form a plan that works for everyone.

WHAT WAYS I CAN MENTOR?
The list is endless! We have mentors who just come and shoot basketball with the young man they are assigned to. We have mentors who begin woodworking projects in our shed by showing these young men how to use proper tools and how to build something. It can be as simple as hiking through a few trails in the woods, or going to a high school basketball game, or grabbing a meal at a local restaurant. Sometimes, a mentor may show a young man how to change the oil or plug a tire. It's all up to you!  There's absolutely a way for you to make a difference!

HOW DO I GET STARTED?
We prioritize the safety of our boys. Because of this, we have an in-depth vetting process that consists of background checks, 2 interviews, reference checks, and a 2- hour training. If you're interested in making this investment into, you can begin the process by clicking the link below.  Our team will reach out to you and the journey will begin! Take it from someone who has a lifestyle of mentoring young people… it will change your life!
